Refer to SVPP's guidelines for any questions about our program. This is a comprehensive resource that you should review throughout your foster assignment.
If you think we should add something more, please let us know!
Please let your foster coordinator know ASAP and use our SVPP Closed Facebook page to alert SVPP volunteers. We have foster parents who love to do short term fostering!
Remember to give as much notice as possible.
We call it a "Foster Success" when our foster dogs find a forever home with their foster parents!
We wholeheartedly support "foster successes" at any point in your foster assignment. Please contact your foster coordinator to discuss the steps to adopting your foster pup.
Need to be reimbursed?
Silicon Valley Pet Project will reimburse you for supplies you purchase to care for your foster dog. Since we often have donated supplies, we ask that you check with us first to see if we have the supply on hand as this will save us money. If we don't have it on hand, we would be happy to reimburse you for the expense.
Do you or your spouse/partner work for a high-tech company?
If yes, your volunteer time will be compensated in the form of donations from your company to Silicon Valley Pet Project. These funds are critical to our mission and allows us to provide medical care and supplies needed to care for the homeless pets in our care. The following companies have this program and SVPP is already set up in their system:
Apple, Bank of America, Cisco, Nvidia, HP, Google, Merck, and others.
Check with your Human Resources department for instructions on how to document your volunteer time with SVPP.
